Sawaii Sushi's Bento Box Makes Your Wallet and Tummy Happy

If you're ever jonesin' for a delicious, cheap bento box, I highly recommend Sawaii Sushi. The bento box comes in two varieties: salmon and chicken. You get more chicken than salmon, which is understandable since both boxes are the same price.

A small salad with shredded letuce and a sweet and sour sesame dressing

Your choice of chicken (more meat) or salmon (less meat)

A bowl of hot miso soup with bits of tofu and savory seaweed

Sushi Bay just a block up on Kearny has far better bento for less. Daily lunch specials allow you to pick two items - chicken katsu, veg curry, beef/salmon/chicken/tofu teriyaki, potato croquette - along with miso soup or 6 pieces of California roll for $5. It's served with rice, shredded cabbage salad, and bean sprouts. Very authentic - it's run by two old Japanese men. I highly recommend the katsu and curry combo on Mondays.
